Our desire is to be a community of people that loves Jesus, experiences God, shows love to one another, and who partners with the Holy Spirit in bringing healing to our world. We can’t wait to meet you!

Join us for service Sundays at 10am.
We’re a diverse group of imperfect people learning what it means to know God and love one another. Come just as you are—no need to have everything together or dress a certain way. You’ll meet people from all walks of life, and maybe even a few familiar faces. Our goal is to help you feel at home from the moment you arrive.
Grab a cup of coffee or tea, meet some new folks in the lobby, or head into the auditorium to join us for worship, hear what’s happening in our community, and listen to a practical, Bible-based message.
Each Sunday we begin our service with musical worship. You're invited to join us in singing, or sit back, listen, as we turn our hearts and minds toward God. The words to all our songs are projected on a large screen in the front of the auditorium. There's also space in the lobby to hear and see everything that's going on in the auditorium on the screen above our fireplace.
We’ll have some brief announcements of what’s happening in our community. Then a member of our preaching team shares a message they have prepared as an opportunity for us all to press into scripture and learn together. After the message there’s time for you to receive prayer if you want. During this time our prayer ministry team is available to pray with and encourage you.
There’s always opportunity to hang out, grab more coffee and make some friends.

What the Vineyard Church Believes About Worship
One of the first things people notice at The Vineyard Church is our worship. It often feels different from what they’ve experienced elsewhere, and you may have questions: Why so many songs? Why a band instead of a choir or organ? Why do people raise their hands or close their eyes? Why are some songs emotional or contemplative rather than upbeat?
Here’s what worship at The Vineyard is—and isn’t.
What Worship is Not
What Worship Is
Worship at The Vineyard is about intimacy with God. It’s a time to step away from life’s pressures and focus on God’s presence, honestly and openly. People come as they are, bringing all their needs, struggles, and gratitude. The Bible says God “dwells in the midst of our praises,” and during worship, many experience His presence and love at their deepest point of need.
Why We Worship the Way We Do
Your Invitation
Feel free to participate in worship however you’re comfortable. Over time, you may discover the joy and freedom of encountering God in song, allowing Him to change your heart and life.
Our prayer is that, as you join us in worship, you will sense God’s presence and experience His love for you in a real and personal way.
What is Prayer?
Prayer is our way of communicating with God—sharing our hearts, expressing needs, and listening for His voice. It is both speaking to God and hearing from Him. The Bible encourages us to pray continually and give thanks in all circumstances (1 Thessalonians 5:17).
What is Ministry?
Ministry means service—putting ourselves at God’s disposal to bless and serve others. In the Bible, ministry is meaningful when done in faith, hope, and love (1 Corinthians 3:9-15; 13:13; 1 Thessalonians 1:3).
Why Pray Together?
Praying with others strengthens our connection to God and one another. At The Vineyard Church, we pray together because:
How Prayer Ministry Works at The Vineyard
Prayer Ministry provides a safe and supportive space for anyone to receive prayer during weekend services or small group meetings. Here’s what to expect:
Why It Matters
Prayer Ministry is a vital expression of God’s kingdom and an essential part of life at The Vineyard Church. It’s how we care for one another, experience God’s presence, and equip people to pray for others. For our church community, participating in prayer ministry—whether receiving or offering prayer—is a core value and a normal part of following Christ.
Everyday Prayer
Beyond services, informal prayer happens throughout the week, as individuals, couples, and families respond to God’s work in their lives. Prayer Ministry is available to support, encourage, and strengthen anyone seeking God’s guidance, healing, or encouragement.
How Can I Experience the Holy Spirit?
The Holy Spirit can sometimes feel mysterious, but the Bible teaches that He is not an impersonal force—He is a person, the living presence of God in our lives (John 14:15-17; Romans 8:9). While Jesus shows us the invisible God, the Spirit makes God “felt” and experienced in our daily lives (John 7:37-39; Acts 2:1-4).
Here are practical ways to begin experiencing the Holy Spirit:
The Bible invites us to both seek and expect encounters with God through the Holy Spirit. David writes, “Taste and see that the Lord is good” (Psalm 34), and Jesus promises that the Spirit comes to empower and guide us (John 16:7).
Small groups are a vital part of life at The Vineyard Church because fellowship is essential to the Christian life. While weekend worship gatherings are meaningful, they don’t provide the personal connection needed for deeper growth. Small groups give you a chance to build relationships, study the Bible, pray together, and support one another in everyday life. The Bible emphasizes community, saying we are all members of one body and should care for one another (Romans 12:4-5; 1 John 4:7; Romans 12:10; 1 Corinthians 1:10; Ephesians 4:2).
What Happens at a Small Group?
Most meetings last about two hours. Part of that time is spent growing in faith with worship, Bible discussion, and prayer. The remainder is devoted to fellowship—coffee, conversation, and simply getting to know one another.
Visiting and Participation
You don’t need an invitation to join a small group. Visitors are always welcome and encouraged to participate at their comfort level. While it’s not required, we recommend calling the leader in advance to confirm the time and location. Leader contact info is listed on group cards and on our website.
Commitment
There’s no long-term obligation. You are free to visit multiple groups or attend for as short or long a period as you like. We do encourage choosing a group and sticking with it for a while to build meaningful relationships. While some groups meet every week throughout the year, many groups meet for twelve weeks and then take a break during open months. During open months (January, May, and September) new groups are posted giving individuals a opportunity to try a different group.
New to Church or the Bible?
Small groups are a great way to learn and grow. If you’re new to Christianity or the Vineyard, consider a life group or discipleship group.
Choosing a Small Group
To find a group that’s right for you, consider your needs (day, time, childcare, etc.), what type of group you are looking for (Life groups, Social groups, Serving Groups) and browse our group cards in the church lobby or online. Each card lists the meeting time, location, leader, and focus. Our groups meet throughout the week in the Twin Ports area, so it’s easy to find one that fits your schedule.
Children
Some groups offer childcare or supervision nearby. It’s best to check with the group leader ahead of time.

We are committed to living out the values of the gospel of Jesus Christ. Our mission is to love God, love others, and share the good news of Jesus Christ.
Our mission involves praying and finding power from God Himself to accomplish what humans could never accomplish on their own. We pray for the sick, we confront injustice, and we seek to hear the voice of God on behalf of others. This involves partnership with a Person beyond ourselves.
We believe the triune God—Father, Son, and Holy Spirit—longs to be known and experienced, drawing us into a loving and obedient relationship with Him. As we grow more sensitive to His presence, we seek to join His work with humility and avoid hype or manipulation, recognizing the difference between the Spirit’s movement and our human response.
We believe Jesus came to reconcile all people to God, to one another, and to all creation, calling us to be communities of healing. Because the cross unites what sin has separated, we actively pursue diverse, barrier-breaking relationships—so our churches reflect the kingdom reality that Jesus is Lord over every nation, tribe, and tongue.
We extend Jesus’ compassion to the lost, the poor, and the outsider, knowing we ourselves depend entirely on God’s mercy—a mercy we can only truly receive as we give it away. In every form of ministry, especially through the local church, we seek to serve others with humility and tangible love, reflecting the compassion of Christ in a hurting world.
The church exists for those far from God, carrying the message of Jesus into every corner of creation in ways that are clear and culturally relevant. We pursue creative and faithful ministry in order to reach all people and express Jesus’ heart for those who feel far from him.
Vineyard churches function and do life together distinctively in many ways. We have several short statements that sum these up well.
While we believe that God is present in our lives without this prayer, the deepest cry of our heart is that we need His tangible presence right now.
We want leaders who know their own weaknesses and failures, who never try to pretend that they are above those they lead.
The bible is our plumb-line. We want to focus on believing and learning to do what the scriptures say.
We are aware that suffering and the kingdom of God are both present in our world. We encourage a lifestyle that expects, yet does not demand, that the kingdom of God is demonstrated everywhere and all the time.
We love to create environments where people can belong before they believe. God welcomes us just as we are, but he is never content to leave us as he found us.
