Student Events

We’re always looking to have a party around the Vineyard! So we’d love to have you join us for any of our events. Our goal in having events is two fold:

  1. We want to have a blast! We believe this life God has given us is meant to be enjoyed. So regardless if it’s a missions trip, retreat, hot dog eating contest, or weekend workshop, we want to have a blast doing it.
  2. Build relationship. We want to get to know you, as well as for you to get to know us. So we create an environment at all our events where you can connect with some of your friends and hopefully make some new ones. It’s through these relationships that we’ll actually be able to make an impact on one another and the people in our lives.

So regardless if you’re reading this as a friend who’s been invited by a buddy, or if you’ve already visited us at the Vineyard, we’d love to have you join us!

We will have a late night snack and games to play afterwards, as well as watch the movie Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, The Witch, and The Wardrobe (rated PG). In the morning, we will have breakfast, do a devotional, and walk to a local park to play and latter stopping for ice cream at Culver’s. We will then head back to Rich and Jill’s for lunch and to do another time of focusing on the Holy Spirit. We will be finished by 2pm on May 26th. We would love for you to join us!

What would it look like to sit on an edge of a waterfall, just taking time to relax and soak in all that God created? How about camping out under the stars with friends? We invite you to the Journey- a junior high biking and camping trip. Our goal is to get students outdoors, take a 19 mile bike ride trip, and connect with students as well as leaders from the Well. We will bike ride, set up camp, play night games, hike, cook on a fire, and have lots of fun. We will meet at the Munger Trail head in west Duluth on June 16th at 1pm. Students need to bring a sleeping bag, pillow, bike, sunscreen, water bottle, change of clothes. Please let us know if you have a large tent that you would be willing to let us use! Come join us for this amazing journey.

Madison Missions Trip (Sr. High)

We will have water relay races, obstacle courses, shoot water balloons at moving targets, and end the afternoon with a huge water balloon fight. This is all happening on June 19th at 1:00pm and ending at 2:30pm in the afternoon here at the Vineyard. Bring lunch from home and we will eat together in the youth room after sunday services at 1:00. Then at 1:30 we will start the fun! Make sure to wear clothes that you can get soaked in, and good shoes for running. We would love to see you there!

S.O.S (Jr. High)

July 19-22 - $150

Register Here

Summer of Service or S.O.S is an opportunity for students to experience a summer filled with hard work, fun, reaching out to others, team work and a chance to see God show up in the lives of other people. For this year’s S.O.S, we are so excited to be joining up with Dano Sauter and the Mercy Vineyard in the Twin Cities. Students spend the day simply serving others through practical ways such as, handing out Icee’s to people downtown, help run a soccer clinic, free car washes, painting people’s houses, cleaning out garages, pretty much any kind of service that we can offer that will bless the community. The reason we do this is communicate God’s love in practical ways. God’s love is absolutely free, no strings attached.  Through these simple acts, our students will be representing the Kingdom of God in a practical way. Also, through doing these services, students and leaders will have opportunities to connect with the “locals” and many times, even pray for them. After a hard day’s work, they eat together, then head back to the church to share their stories from the day, worship and pray for one another. This is a great way to introduce kids to missions.

Big One (Jr. High)

August 13-14 - $65

Jr High "Big One!" is a summer event created just for students who are going into grades 6-8! The Big One is hands down the biggest event/deal/party we put on here at the Vineyard Church. In 36 hours, we accomplish more then you could ever imagine. We ride roller coasters at Valley Fair, swim, eat burritos the size of your face, play super scoop noodle challenge, hit up the Mall of America, eat massive amounts of chocolate chip cookies, watch late night movies- and that's just in one day! We simply want to create some space where students can connect with their friends, make some new ones and enjoy being a part of our community.  Space is limited so sign up to reserve your spot! We would love have you join us this summer for the Big One!
