About Foundations...

“Therefore if anyone is in Christ, that person is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold all things have become new. ” 2 Corinthians 5:15.

This promise is for you! Isn’t that great? You are a new creation in Christ Jesus. Now that you have begun this new relationship with God, someone may have asked you questions, or you may have your own questions, regarding your faith. For instance, do you understand why you are a Christian? Would you be able to explain from the bible what makes someone a Christian? Have you ever wondered about the practical reasons for prayer, bible study, baptism, or communion?

These are some of the topics we will address at a course called Foundations. This course is a discussion group that will equip you with the basic knowledge and understanding of the basic and most important foundational truths of the Christian life. Whether you are a new believer, or returning to church after a long absence, or simply have more questions about the foundations of a relationship with Jesus, Foundations is a great place to understand these truths.

We offer weekly meetings on Thursday evenings at 7 pm. This course includes a topical bible study with some group discussion and prayer.

Don’t let the discussion portion intimidate you! You won’t be put on the spot. This is simply a time where we discuss the issues presented. Plus, you get the chance to meet others and build new relationships with those also taking this course. It’s a great time of learning and connecting with other people from Vineyard.

Understanding your Faith

Come meet your new brothers and sisters in Christ and grow together in the understanding of your faith! This series of classes is a great opportunity to learn the basics of the bible in a friendly, comfortable atmosphere. Foundations is designed to introduce you to the basics of Christianity while providing practical ways to apply these truths to the everyday Christian walk.

Topical Bible Studies

Each week you’ll hear a teaching on one of the following topics:

• What is the bible?

• Prayer and devotions

• God the Father

• Who is Jesus?

• Introduction to the Holy Spirit

• Spiritual warfare

• What is faith?

• Christian community

• Baptism and the Lord’s Supper

• Worship as a lifestyle

How To Get Started

Feel free to attend on Thursday evenings at 7pm at the Vineyard in one of our classrooms in the basement. Foundations is designed so you can join in at any point. No pre-registration is required.
