John Kliewer, Assistant Pastor

Before coming to the Vineyard John used to be a big-shot corporate attorney. Then God used cancer and a job change to cause him to reevaluate what he was doing with his life.  In 2008 John, his wife and kids, all moved from Seattle to Duluth and later that year discovered the Vineyard.  After helping out in a number of interesting ways (from janitorial to flower decorating), John started a pastoral internship while taking VLI classes.  Following the internship in 2009, he was asked to continue on as a pastor. These days John just continues to say yes to God, and follows him one little step at a time.

John loves spending time with his wife and kids, being outside, taking trips to the BWCA and its benefit of being "unavailable". Currently he's learning to cross-country ski as it seems to be a prerequisite to living in Duluth.
