Elise Pechek, Ministry Director

Elise was part of the group that founded the Duluth Vineyard Church, and is grateful for all the healing and hope it has brought to her and her family.

She began exploring the challenges and difficulties of educating a learning-disabled child when her own son seemed unable to learn to read. In the process of learning how to help him, Elise became an educational therapist, and not only taught her son to read, but many other children as well. She believes that any person with normal intelligence can be taught to read well, and has made it her life's work to encourage and support literacy among those who struggle with the written word.

When not tutoring students, Elise loves to work out at the fitness center, go out to lunch with friends, and spend time outdoors with her husband and two grown children.
